One of our focuses at Tabernacle Christian School is to help our students develop into well-rounded individuals who are prepared to successfully face the realities of the real world. As a parent, you want what’s best for your child, which is why enrolling them in some of the extracurricular activities our school sponsors may be a good idea.

Important Benefits of Extracurricular Activities for Your Child

Many parents put their children in extracurricular activities to help them learn new skills. Not only will your child learn how to complete the task at hand, but they will also learn other skills that can benefit them in other areas of their life, like teamwork, participating, hard work, diligence, etc.

Many of the skills your child learns while participating in extracurricular activities can boost their academic performance. Education requires students to have solid creativity, memory, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Depending on the activity your child participates in, it can have an impact on some of these areas.

By the nature of most extracurricular activities, your child will also be engaging with other children socially. Helping your child form relationships outside of a classroom setting can help your child become more confident working with and communicating in groups.

We provide a wide range of extracurricular activities in athletics and the arts, and we encourage all of our students to get involved in some form. To learn more about the different activities we sponsor, contact us today.
