Here at Tabernacle Christian School, we want to help parents like you make the best choices for your children’s K-12 education. Our team has been operating our private, K-12 Christian school for over 50 years, and we find that the K-12 approach offers several advantages over the standard approach of sending students to separate elementary, middle, and high schools. In this article, we will go over the main advantages of the K-12 model to help you decide if this is the right option for your kids and their academic, social, and spiritual development.

Advantages of K-12 Education

  • Closer Bonds. One benefit of the K-12 approach to education, in which students remain at the same school from kindergarten through high school graduation, is that it allows the students to form closer relationships with the faculty and with each other. Because teachers see the same pool of students year after year, rather than cycling to a new group altogether every few years, they are able to get to know the students better and gain a more complete understanding of their educational needs.
  • Greater Academic Support. Another benefit of students spending more time with the same teachers and faculty is that they are able to receive more academic support. Our team will get to know your child and how they learn and will be able to give them better support in their academic careers.
  • Focus on Character. A benefit that we aim to provide with our K-12 education program is a greater focus on spiritual growth and character. We want to help our students grow up to be good, upright citizens who have faith in the Lord, and we will provide spiritual instruction and support along the way to help them do so.
