In Mark 16, Jesus commands, “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” Communication, interaction, and service are key to developing active Christians who are readily equipped to spread the gospel throughout the world. Several activities throughout the school year help create a family atmosphere in our student body. Below are a few events and programs that our school emphasizes to develop social growth:
Dinner-Out Family Nights
Our school family gathers at various local restaurants once a month to spend time in fellowship. These special nights cultivate interaction between our teachers and families. Students also enjoy seeing their teachers and friends in a different setting.
Our teachers work diligently to plan field trips to enhance classroom learning, to teach students how to be good testimonies in public, and to create enjoyable days of memories.
Each class in preschool through 6th grade invites family members to join them for a very special lunch at school. The students display projects and share special experiences of the school year.
All students in 1st-12th grades gather in the auditorium for a special message from the Bible and for special projects that encourage people in our community. Teams are divided by gender but not by age. Faculty members are assigned to each team to pray with them and to accomplish the projects.
In the fall, junior and senior high students spend a few days in the mountains at the WILDS Christian Camp near Brevard, North Carolina. The students enjoy chapel services, hiking, the lake, the giant swing, the ropes course, and bonding as a school.
Back to School Retreat
The junior and senior high students and faculty spend a day of fellowship and challenges from the Word of God to begin the school year.
All of the TCS families gather on a Friday evening for fun games, great food, face-painting, hay rides, and much more!
